Children of the World

If there is one thing that extremely affects me it is seeing suffering children. It is unbearable and simply too much for me to handle. Although, seeing a situation from the perspective of a child can be that much more eye-opening and in most cases truthful.
Children are the innocence that we once were... How many of us wish we could relive those days of childhood; no responsibility and the dramatics of life do not pretain to us. Only the joy of being able to imagaine whatever we wish, and the journy we take as we learn and experience life from such an uncorrupted, untainted and free mind.

Why should happiness be taken from anyone, especially from an innocent child.

We were once children, and most of us will have our own children and we will be the ones responsible for their views on the world and their actions and reactions to life. Why should we taint their picture? Why should they grow up with unneccessary pain. strife and complications?
Logically and simply put, they shouldn't.

Accomplishments

We all have dreams, but it is what we achieve that
becomes the deciding factor in how we are portrayed.
For seem people life may appear better because they
are born into opulence and advantages others are not.
When it comes down to it though, happiness comes with
success and achievement. You can have everything in the
world but if it was all given to you, it may be enjoyable,
but there will be a void inside. Without having personal
success and accomplishment, then self-fulfillment and
satisfaction will be vacant, destitution will exist.

Do you remember the first time you learned to ride a
bicycle without training wheels and didn't fall off?

I bet you were happy, smiling the whole way as you
rode past your mom, dad, grandparent, sibling, whoever
was watching you. It was a moment of self-fulfillment.
How about the first time you learned to drive and the
progression as you became (hopefully for most) a safe
and experienced driver, ready for the roads. Getting an
education, learning rock climbing, winning an award,
getting a job... I could go on... These are all examples
of things we may or may not have done, but they are
minuscule compared to the things we can accomplish.

We all have the opportunity to achieve, so logically and
simply put; go achieve. Get something donen that you've
wanted to do. Or do what you know your good at, but
make it count. Either way, we have the ability to learn,
and by learning we gain knowledge. With knowledge
we have the ability to use our wisdom and accomplish.
Education aside, being open-minded is key to gaining
information and knowledge. If we shut everything down
that we hear, how can we learn anything. You need to
listen to the teacher in order to hear what they are
saying.

Logic and simplicity are extremely important in the
cycle of life. Sure, life is a roller-coaster of adventitiously,
ambiguous, yet sometimes miraculously, precarious
occurrences, that doesn't mean that it is impossible. It
also doesn't mean that it can't be logically simple...
Just think about it... The majority of things we do in life
are logical... We just need to keep it simple and realize
that we can do as much as we want. As long as we put
our heart, mind and soul (unless you don't think we have
one) into it and believe, we can accomplish anything...

New American Standard Bible (©1995)

And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your
faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a
mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from
here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be
impossible to you.

http://bible.cc/matthew/17-20.htm

Regardless of religious faith, metaphorically this statement
is simply stating: If you believe in what you are doing,
you can accomplish it.

Dreaming of Reality

My eyes are closed, my mind is wandering,
Steps I take, down such a wide, enclosed path,
People congest, but yet no contact, mostly squandering,
I continue through the mass, all around, moving, simple math

Numbers, figures, the mass moves, singing a groaning song
They read, they watch, and they listen to the fabrications
I tread continuously, admiring, NO, around me, droning on
Despicable, so many, lost and afraid, adhered to temptations

Believe the lies, close your eyes, because when they are open you still cannot see
Deceit is told, and sold, we buy, the lies, in ignorance, because we still cannot see

My feet move, but not quickly, like a sloth, not by choice
I cannot help but glance around; so pathetic, so disdain
So said that, the lack of realization, the deprivation of voice
How can we forget who we are, living in pain, residing in vain

Yet we no longer feel our blood flow through or veins unless in fear
As I continue through the crowds, this is my revelation
Reality is around us, yet we face away, pushing away, living in fear
My mind is open, therefore I can see, the starvation through all nations

The world is cold, people are colder

She Means The World To me

She is my everything... When the sun rises, her eyes are my desire...
They are the only eyes that can see through me, into me, a flame,
burns deep inside, a feeling like no other.

Caressing her, feeling her touch, our lips, embracing, connecting...

Love is powerful, more powerful than anything that will ever exist,
it is real, it is true... When she is near, I feel like nothing else in the
world around me matters, we are the only two people on earth.

Her smile, shining with beauty, everything about her, inside and out,
pure and beautiful. So unique and perfect, even her simple flaws I
almost admire. Even when I am mad, or frustrated with her imperfections,
just seeing her smile is enough for me to realize that loving her is all
that matters. Even after moments of despising each other, to be able to
laugh about each others shortcomings is utterly amazing. Nobody is
perfect. Love is perfect. It is the only thing that can truly make people
feel perfection. To look at that person and know that they are real, that
what is shared is real, and that it lasts forever. Staring into their eyes and
feeling as if you have wings, flying, elevated high above, pure ecstasy.

When she is away, my mind races, but always do I journey, towards her,
reminiscing, on moments with her. Simple, small things, but enough to
bring sanctity for she is the bright, shining light leading me through
this dark world, showing me and giving me delirium. It is not forced,
it is a choice in actions and reactions. It is an ultimate and challenging
experience, but nothing in life comes easy. If you want to eat, you need
to work. If you want to go to school and get a good education, you need
to study. Convention leads to accomplishment. Love can be euphoric.

It is for me... Even through the hardships, she is unselfish and cares, we
know we make mistakes and we forgive, because we know that in everything
we must never give up. That goes for more than just love: Life.

Human Life

What is the value of human life today?

It seems that the value of human life has depreciated. All around the world we continue to conflict and even have animosity with each other. We tend to pick at the unique and obsolete differences of one another in order to maintain that distance we all seem to carry with us. That separation leads to restraint, which then evolves into bitterness and malice. We go as far as killing our own kind just out of spite. The most sickening thing is so many of us hold no sympathy for those that are killed from hostility, in fact the malevolence is twisted and reasons are created and believed, just so that it appears to be justifiable homicides taking place. Sure, some people are brought to justice, but then there are the events that take place "away from home" and thats when people stop caring so much. Ignorance and selfishness kick in to stop them from being concerned.

Here is the bottom line - Every single one of us is a human being. That means that every single person has a heart in their body, a brain in their head, blood flowing through their veins, and eyes on their face. We are all the same in flesh, regardless of color or physical indifferences. Some people believe that there are souls within our body. It is a face that when we die, 21 grams of bodyweight is lost and whether you believe it to be the soul or just electricity shutting down, until the moment we die, we are alive just the same as every one else.

So, why do we decide to stop the beating heart of another individual? What makes us decide to kill another person? We are all given one opportunity at life, some peoples lives are already cut short through sickness and disease. How can we look each other in the eyes and take that single chance away? What is the driving force behind us when we push the blade through the skin, or pull the trigger, or blow up innocent humans, just like us? What gives us the right to decide who lives and who dies? How can we be so vile and askew that when the majority of us hear of children dying outside of a hundred mile radius we turn a cold shoulder? It's erroneous and fallacious when we support the people that are responsible for women and children dying.

What if it were your kids? How would you feel then? Is it really fair that one bad person should be held responsible for millions of others? Or is it that we are just that greedy and egocentric that when it comes down to it;we will believe whatever we need to believe and do what ever is necessary that there are people living way above the "dream" we are promised, regardless of all the deaths around the world.

The human life is a single opportunity that we are all given. We are given a mind that is able to think for itself. Instead of thinking only of ourselves, we should be thinking about the world around us as we share with billions of other people. It is our home and we are each with contingency to breathe the air, drink the water and walk the land. Earth is the place we were given to reside,as a whole, as humans amongst animals. Not animals amongst humans.

It is logical and extremely simple to realize that it is wrong to kill. Death is a sad and morbid event, it is evil and destructive. We shouldn't destroy ourselves or the planet that we inhabit. It should be inhabitation in unity, together, with the freedoms of choice, speech and belief. We are all individuals with our unique and distinctive characteristics given the freedom to be alive. That shouldn't be taken from anyone, nothing should. Instead we should be concerned with giving rather than taking, in all aspects of life. treat others the way we want to be treated back. And the thing is, respect is key, but the lack of self-respect and therefore respect for others dismantles the ability to enjoy life properly and also take the joy out of the lives of others. The definition of living according to Dictionary.com states the following:

liv - ing [liv-ing]

–adjective

1. having life; being alive; not dead: living persons.

2. in actual existence or use; extant: living languages.

3. active or thriving; vigorous; strong: a living faith.

4. burning or glowing, as a coal.

5. flowing freely, as water.

6. pertaining to, suitable for, or sufficient for existence or subsistence: living conditions; a living wage.

7. of or pertaining to living persons: within living memory.

8. lifelike; true to life, as a picture or narrative.

9. in its natural state and place; not uprooted, changed, etc.: living rock.

10. very; absolute (used as an intensifier): to scare the living daylights out of someone.

–noun

11. the act or condition of a person or thing that lives: Living is very expensive these days.

12. the means of maintaining life; livelihood: to earn one's living.

13. a particular manner, state, or status of life: luxurious living.

14. (used with a plural verb) living persons collectively (usually prec. by the): glad to be among the living.

15. British. the benefice of a clergyman.

The lists below are biblical passages that are what are referred to as the Ten Commandments. Even if you don't believe in God, the majority of what is written is simple and logical in how a person should lead their life. Especially if they wish to be considered moral and ethical, because logically and simply there are right things and wrong things to do. We wish to remain virtuous and innocent, yet we choose to be dishonest and perfidious in our actions, living lives out-right immorally. We can all achieve, but instead we choose to destroy. It should be building up those around us and the world around us rather than complete destruction of everything, including ourselves.

The Ten Commandments

Exodus 20:2–17

2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;
3 Do not have any other gods before me.
4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,
6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.
8 Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
9 For six days you shall labour and do all your work.
10 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns.
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.
12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
13 You shall not kill
14 You shall not commit adultery.
15 You shall not steal.
16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.
17 You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.

Deuteronomy 5:6–21

6 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;
7 you shall have no other gods before me.
8 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and fourth generation of those who reject me,
10 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
11 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.
12 Observe the sabbath day and keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you.
13 For six days you shall labour and do all your work.
14 But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, or your son or your daughter, or your male or female slave, or your ox or your donkey, or any of your livestock, or the resident alien in your towns, so that your male and female slave may rest as well as you.
15 Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.
16 Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, so that your days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
17 You shall not kill
18 Neither shall you commit adultery.
19 Neither shall you steal.
20 Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbour.
21 Neither shall you covet your neighbour’s wife. Neither shall you desire your neighbour’s house, or field, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.
