Imagine That...

Imagine That...

A year ago, The war on Iraq (amongst others) was ceased and the invading Governments took responsibility for their actions, rather than pass the blame on from one entity to the next, as they do when they make any mistake, so that they are never at fault.

A week ago, Governments made decisions for the people, based on the needs of the people, rather than the beneficial advantages of Corporations.

Yesterday, The Federal Reserve, amongst other things, was properly audited and the truth about where American tax money is being spent is revealed.

Today, people quit basing their opinions and decisions on minuscule, minor details and realized the difference between conformity and stupidity, opening their minds enough to think logically.

Tomorrow, people stopped living in ignorance, with hatred and indifference, but united together, elevating themselves enough to overcome the struggles caused by corruption.

Iraq For Sale

Here is a nice documentary called Iraq For Sale that is very interesting and reflects my last post. It's 8 parts on YouTube.com and each is very informative. Be prepared to have your eyes opened to reality.

War Revenues

It is incredibly sad how peoples lives are used and taken, all so that a few others can heavily increase their net worth. War has forever been a part of the history of mankind and empires have sprung up all throughout. From Ancient Greeks to the very recent British Empire, the world superpowers of their time. Each empire occupied several other nations throughout the world, using them for their own benefit. The British Empire used India and Africa for their resources, and their people for manual labor. Occupying of other nations was something each superpower/empire has done.

Currently, the United States of America is at war (as they have been nearly the entire 20th Century and have carried into this, the 21st Century) or in conflictual discussion with nearly the entire middle East, all except their allies Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. I would include Israel in there but since they are a member of the European Union and United Nations, sort of makes them more European. Regardless, there are countries that America is currently at war against, and there are both American Soldiers and Innocent Iraqi/Palestinian/Afghan Children, Brothers, Sisters, Mothers, Fathers, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Cousins, and Friends dying.

Here are several things about the current Iraqi and Afghanistan wars that I would like to point out, especially since companies like Halliburton (former VP Dick Cheney's company, who retired to be VP with $18 in stock options, and is still withdrawing compensation of up to or more than a million dollars per year) are profiting from deaths. Not only was Halliburton awarded the most amount of Iraqi-rebuilding contracts (totaling over $130 billion), they have also been placed as the overseeing organization over oil production. A Kuwaiti company was given the approximated $750 million (originally $500 million) contract to build the new US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. In Afghanistan, former U.S. military veterans, since having returned from the way overseas, have claimed that while they were stationed in Iraq, the U.S. would NOT allow them to enter into the area there intelligence claimed Osama bin Laden was hiding. For months, this went on, and then finally they were able to proceed into that area with the search. Other former U.S. Veterans who have returned home have described the War as being a complete disaster, a mistake. One said that upon their arrival in Iraq as "a bunch of pit bulls loose on a cage full of rabbits." Many have returned, requesting the unjust war end and their friends and family may return home safely.

One major problem with the war itself is that it is no longer being fought, in majority, by Military Soldiers and Personal but by Contracted Individuals, paid for their service: Killing. These are men, walking the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan, carrying Automatic Weapons, dressed in civilian clothing, blue jeans and casual t-shirts. Until 2008 these mercenaries received $85 million dollars. In 2009, alone, there is $100 million in contracts. That is a lot of taxpayer money being spent.

There are reasons why people defend themselves, but the biggest factor is survival. It is a human instinct to want to survive and live, rather than die. When things are constantly taken from us against our will, we can become angered, but when our life become threatened we either shrivel in fear or stand up and face it, attempting to overcome and survive. If America was invaded and there were soldiers and armed foreign soldiers walking around, exclaiming that everyone had to abide by their rules, telling them their beliefs were false, that there government was corrupt, everything they knew was more or less a fantasy.. I am pretty positive most Americans will stand up. It appears to me that the most corrupt governments are the ones controlling their wealth and are able to be wealthy while billions rest, unable to afford proper nutrition.

There are so many facts and so much history to greed, but back to the war at hand, Iraq and America have had a long history together. From Saddam's regime receiving nuclear weapon technology, to America giving Iraq's neighbor Kuwait technology to drill on an angle (which they did, extracting oil from Iraq, which is obviously stealing, not to mention drilling on an angle itself is against OPEC procedure) which resulted in America attempting to invade Iraq with no support from anyone (Yes ,after Iraq invaded Kuwait because they wouldn't stop their oil production from Iraq, take my bread and see what happens), to the most recent invasion and now occupation.

This time, America has total control over the oil production and the Iraqi "democratic" government. Saddam is out of power, most of his family massacred by the American military. One thing I find interesting is that there are people now serving in the Iraqi Government that were once prisoner's detained during his reign. There are members of Kurdish independence parties, seeking an independent Kurdish state, now apart of the Iraqi government. They are going to be monitoring Sunni participation in upcoming elections. A lot of interesting things going on over in the middle east, all of which can be verified by the bottom links. All the while, people are dying, and others, like Dick Cheney, are making millions off it. Funny enough, in the 1990s, Cheney made some nice comments towards the past few years.

Conscious Conscience

The conscience is fundamentally instrumental as it orchestrates different reactions in various situations, giving a morale insight. Morales are simple, right and wrong. The conscience is what triggers different levels of apprehension towards what is right. Some people refer to the conscience as being an inner instinctive sense directing one towards a righteous path. Where you ever about to make a decision when, all of a sudden, something in your lower abdomen stirred? Some people refer to this as the gut. Not everyone will put the gut and conscience together, but personally, I think they are relatively cooperative.

If one is not conscious to their surroundings, to the things happening around, the reason for why things are happening, then their perspective on situations, values and even morals can be altered. There are certain levels of knowledge that should not be ascertained (then again there are certain levels of action currently taking place in the world that should not be occurring and reoccurring), but the brain has the ability to gather, store and innovate information along with many other brilliant aspects. If we are oblivious to our surroundings than how can we respect them.

Ignorance and selfishness go hand in hand in my books: If you do not care about anything outside of your box, how can you respect yourself enough to respect anyone else. If people are not conscious, how can the conscience mind separate the good from the bad, especially if there isn't any faith or conviction of any sort. Religion aside, there are many specific things that in a sober normal mind state are automatically brushed aside by the conscience. Our body is something we need to maintain, every single aspect, even our mushy brain. The mind is in us to be open so that we can learn, expand, and imagine. Being conscious maintains conscientious actions and reactions.

Reminiscing

Two days ago it was my birthday, I am officially 22 years of age. I've taken quite a bit of time to ponder the years that have passed since I was brought into this world. A lot has happened and I still have so much to accomplish in life. I haven't had much time to write on this blog lately, in fact my entire writing progress has taken a toll for the worse lately. Regardless, it won't stop me and here I am writing what is on my mind more for the sake of writing itself. My analyzing and observing over twenty two years have left me with a lot of knowledge. Here are some things that I have noticed about myself and others around me here in North America as of recent:

People take things for granted, and I mean everything for granted. From vehicles and gas, to family and friends, from money and food, to the earth and all it's inhabitants. One major part for this is the lack of respect. We, each and every one of us, are brought into this world by at least one parent, and even nowadays parents are lacking big time in their responsibilities and choices. The human life is not respected or appreciated enough, therefore so many people take life for granted. Here, in the Western Civilized World, we are all given so many advantages above the rest of the world, yet we choose to take them for granted.

A lot of people choose to be ignorant, thinking it will make them bliss, but in all reality keeping an open mind gives freedom to the soul. When you close your mind, you close off everything around you, leaving you alone. People can support and if united can build and accomplish, but we choose to be indifferent or decide to act upon the differences, releasing negativity. Instead of optimism it is the pessimism that we consume and react with.

What the F#ck?

O.k., so... Here we are, smack dab in the middle of a worldwide Economic crisis. Throughout the world, we've seen some fairly big attempts at fixing the situation, and I say attempts for the fact that that is merely what they are. Not attempts at actually fixing the economy but rather attempts and making it seem like they are doing something usual, for the people.

In the United States, congress allowed for a bill to be passed with an estimated amount of $878 billion. That money was used to give back to the banks, so that they could continue loaning money to people. So, instead of using all, or at least even a small portion of it on things such as education, medical/pharmaceutical needs, or rebuilding small business, they decided to help aid large Corporations and give the banks more money to lend to people who are already in debt. It may just be me, but I find it slightly confusing with the fact that there such a large quantity of money created out of thin air and it's main and sole purpose is to bring people, the citizens, further into debt.

In Canada, we now have the Ontario government combining the GST and PST tax, making for a spike of 8% in taxes. The reason for the tax-hike hasn't been made fully clear to me. Regardless of the reasoning, many products and services in Ontario are taxed provincially, only federally. Now, all of these products/services that were never charged with P.S.T. will be charged with both, since they are now becoming a Harmonized Sales Tax. The premiere, just before his election, had stated that there would be $1000.00 dollars given back to people, spread over two years, and only for the first two years. So in the middle of the worst worldwide economical crisis, us Ontarians will be forced to spend even more than we already can not afford. Logically put I think this economical bullsh!t is clearly not being handled in the best interests of the people, simply put, the people are now involuntarily digging their holes deeper.
